Vellamo apron at Lapland Hotels

The Vellamo apron, which we launched in April, has traveled to Helsinki Boulevard for trial use at Lapland Hotels. The apron is circular economy at it's best as the fabric is 200% recycled and is made from old Pure Waste products.

Rester and Lindström launch cooperation on Nordic’s first industrial-scale waste textile refining business

Touchpoint's daughter company Rester will start processing Lindström’s workwear clothes, restaurant textiles, and possibly also cotton towel rolls for industrial reuse at the Paimio processing plant in Finland in early 2021. The annual amount of waste textile processed through Rester will be about 500 tons per year, of which 4/5 consists of workwear.

In the MasterChef 2020 season, which started on MTV3 in September 2020, the chef candidates will be tested in various ways. While the atmosphere in the kitchen may occasionally heat up, competitors will be able to prepare delicious main courses and mouth-watering desserts in the practical and fitted aprons provided by Touchpoint.

Nordic countries’ first large-scale end-of-life textile refinement plant to open in Paimio in 2021

The Nordic countries’ first industrial end-of-life textile refinement plant will open in Paimio in 2021. Rester Oy, which is developing the plant in Paimio, recycles companies' end-of-life textiles, and Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto Oy (LSJH), which will hire a production area at the same facility, processes households' end-of-life textiles. The plant will process 12,000 tonnes of end-of-life textiles every year, which represents about 10% of Finland’s textile waste.
