Autumns first circular economy morning

On Wednesday, we spent the first circular economy morning of autumn at our office, and this time the event was combined with the Federation of Finnish Work Welcome to us! - week. It is Finland's largest open-door event and helps companies increase their awareness and highlight the Finnish know-how. In accordance with the theme, we chose "Future prospects of the textile industry in Finland" as the topic of our own event. We had two inspiring speakers as guests and the morning was started by Spinnova's Chief Sustainability Officer Shahriare Mahmood. Shahriare told us about Spinnova in general and explained what makes their fiber so different. At the end, we also looked at what kind of goals Spinnova has for the future.

The second speaker of the morning was Rester's new CEO Miska Paulorinne. Miska told the guests the journey of the recycled fibers to further use and opened up which factors affect and how to the further processing of the fiber. At the end of the show, our Collection & Sourcing Manager Mervi Koskensalo was also brought to the stage sharing it with Miska and they told us what is currently coming up in our and Rester's product development. Thanks again to the performers and guests, the event was again successful from the organizer's point of view!
